Bryan Gurry

GRM Business Solutions was established by Bryan Gurry a former insurance law partner of a national law firm. GRM Business Solutions consults and advises employers assisting them to reduce their exposure to risks, claims and litigation.

Applying more than twenty years experience in workers compensation and insurance law Bryan Gurry has developed strategies and programmes to improve employers’ performances to manage the psychosocial risks in the work environment.



The Employment Law section of the Employer’s Guide has been co-authored by Middletons.

Alan Clayton

The Workers Compensation section of this Guide has been authored by Alan Clayton, the principal of Bracton Consulting Services Pty Ltd.

Bracton Consulting Services is one of the pre-eminent Australian consulting organisations in the field of accident compensation system design. It has undertaken scheme reviews and provided high level policy advice and specialist research for many Australian accident compensation regulators including Comcare, the Victorian WorkCover Authority, the WorkCover Corporation of South Australia, the WorkCover Authority of New South Wales and the Transport Accident Commission in Victoria. Bracton Consulting Services has also worked internationally with bodies such as the New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation, the International Labour Office, the Swedish Work Environment Fund and the Upjohn Institute for Employment Research.

Alan Clayton holds honours degrees in law and arts and is an honorary associate at both the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law at the University of Melbourne and the National Research Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Regulation at the Australian National University as well as being an honorary senior research fellow at the Victorian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health at the University of Ballarat.
